The musculature of men and some women is stronger and thicker hence the higher dose requirement.
Very rare if injected correctly. Some potential side effects include heaviness in the brow or eyelid, mild bruise from needlestick and very few people may develop temporary headaches.
Pregnancy or trying to conceive and breastfeeding.
Necessary steps are taken to ensure comfort so depending on the procedure a local anesthetic can be used to help minimize discomfort. During the procedure, a flexible needle ( cannula) is used which has a blunt tip as a result it slides easily under the skin minimizing discomfort and bruising.
Mainly Galderma products (Restylane).
Results may last up to 36 months on the Restylane treatment plan ( 2 re-treatments, the 1st at 4.5 to 9 months then the 2nd at month 18).
Small chances of bruising, discomfort and pain at the injection site. The risk of vascular occlusion will be discussed at the consultation appointment with the Physician.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, being under 18 yrs of age, previous reactions to the product, allergy to Lidocaine or Anaphylactic Bee/wasp allergy.
